Acne is a chronic disease that affects a wide age range and requires treatment on a individual basis. There isn't just one type of acne - it can range from small white bumps ("whiteheads") to more severe cysts.

Acne can cause self-esteem problems lowering self-confidence and affecting quality of life and social functioning. At times it can cause social embarrassment, withdrawal from social activities, depression and anxiety. If left untreated, permanent scarring or pigmentation changes can result.

How is acne treated at Clarité?

We treat acne for all ages. After an assessment and discussion about your goals, an individual acne treatment plan is created for you. Everyone's skin reacts differently to various acne treatments. Lighter skin reacts differently than darker pigmented skin and this must be taken into account. Acne treatments can include prescription creams, tablets, cosmeceuticals, chemical peels, acne facials, microneedling, microdermabrasion and/or IPL light therapy. Together, we will develop an acne treatment plan that's right for you.
